Hello, my name is Sherice. I am a student at Parkway NW high school for peace and social justice, located in Philadelphia. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I am currently not involved in any after school activities but I have been earlier in the year. I am very open to learning new things and very interested in learning more about this project. I guess I would be called a down to earth chick. Grade wise, I get normal grades. I love all types of music. In the United States there is a thing called foster care, which you are taken from your parents because maybe your parents can't provide for you and give you things that you need. When you are taken form your parents you are placed with another family who can support you and take care of you. I would like to tell you more about these things in future conversations, and maybe I could learn more about you.

Learning about another culture can be very exciting. This forum is an opportunity for you to read about each other and learn about your similarities and differences, your schools and communities, and your everyday lives.
You may find some differences in cultural expressions, customs, and language, however I hope you will feel comfortable asking questions when there is something that you don’t understand.
Twice a week a question will be posted for your response and discussion. If there are specific topics that you would like to discuss please let your instructors know.
I have posted a link on the blog with your photos. You may also want to add photos of your community, your school, or just things that interest you.
The first posts are notes from some of the students in Philadelphia.
