Briana

Dear Students,

Recently, I had did some research comparing South Africa and the United States. I chose the education system. As I was doing my research, I read that in some schools, teachers that are white, teach black children that they are nothing and teach them to work for low wage jobs. In the US, we are taught that we all are equal and should never settle for less. I just want to know is it really true, and if it is how does it feel?

Dear Briana

I do not think that any of that its true, but there are some teachers who are like that and the governmental institutions discourages this kind of behaviour.

We attend a school based in the townships and there are white teachers and they want us to have the same knowledge that children in multi racial schools have. Which school do you attend, what grade are you in, what is your favourite subject, why do you love it and what kind of teachers do you have in your school?

Dear Briana
I know for a fact that is not all white people who are racists there are some of them who want to know more about black cultures.I havent experienced that kind of situation but,I know that it feels horrible and oppressive to be treated unfairly. We are all special and unique in our own ways and being discriminated is depressing. How does it feel to be treated equally? How many official languages do you have?.

Dear Briana
Ijust read your letter and about what you have written I think that it is not true. All South African teachers treat us equally, they educate the same thing, they encourage us to go for challenging learning areas so that we can earn a lot more than they do.Are teachers in the US encouraging the learners to be more serious about their lives so that they could live better lives?.

Hi Briana
The government does not allow that kind of treatment because we are all considered all equal and if there is a school that tolerates that kind of thing, suatable punishment will be made. They just want the best for everyone wether black or white it is just the matter of racism that influences that kind of treatment but it is discouraged. You have to know that not all white teachers are like that there some who just want the best for evryone.
I would like to know if this happens in the US and why dont you wear school uniforms.

Absolutely that is true because we have teachers who are like that they dont treat us equaly they take us as poor people, and you will find few black children in the class or at school but white children are many, and it feels horrible to be treated unfairly.I believe that we are the same, but we just differ by the colour only, and we are unique. So how are you treated there in Us,and what are your hobbies, because mine are reading folks.
